The Helikon-Tex Ambush Backpack is a compact, mission-ready combat pack built for short-to-medium duration field tasks where speed, organization, and durability matter. Made from tough Cordura® 500D, it delivers 22.8 liters of total capacity—enough room for water, rations, extra layers, and essential gear for several hours of action. As part of the modular Guardian system, Ambush integrates cleanly into a larger loadout, but it also works perfectly as a standalone Grab & Go backpack when the mission demands mobility.
The layout is designed around real military use. The top front pocket includes an external hook-and-loop panel for unit ID or personalization, and the inside is lined with soft velour—ideal for safely carrying optics, rangefinders, or night vision devices. A lower front pocket keeps smaller tools and essentials separated and easy to access.
A key feature is the beavertail pocket, designed to carry a combat helmet, camouflage netting, or an extra jacket. When not needed, the beavertail rolls away into a flat compartment at the bottom, keeping the pack streamlined and snag-free.
Two side pockets provide quick access to water or ammunition, and MOLLE/PALS-compatible straps above them allow you to mount extra pouches such as grenade carriers or mag pouches. Inside, a dedicated compartment supports a hydration bladder, making Ambush hydration-ready straight out of the box. A quick-release harness and waist belt improve stability, load control, and comfort during movement.
