LEWIS-2 Armored Crew Coverall is a purpose-built, flame-retardant combat coverall developed for armored vehicle crews who operate in tight, high-risk environments where rapid egress, heat protection, and casualty extraction capabilities are non-negotiable. Featuring Estonian digital camouflage, this suit is part of AS Profline’s military collection and is engineered around real crew-specific needs rather than generic field wear.

The LEWIS-2 is constructed from a lightweight yet highly durable flame-retardant RIPSTOP fabric (55% Cordura HT polyamide / 45% cotton) with IRR protection. The material is thoroughly tested and compliant with EN ISO 11612:2015 class A1, giving you dependable resistance to heat and flame without sacrificing mobility or comfort during extended missions.

Fit is intentionally spacious and ergonomic. A relaxed cut allows for layering in cold conditions, while pre-curved and reinforced elbow and knee zones support constant kneeling, crawling, and climbing through hatches. Dedicated internal pockets allow insertion of elbow and knee protectors, and rear thigh hook-and-loop tabs stabilize the legs around the knee area for better control in confined spaces.

Speed matters in and out of armor. That’s why the front closure uses two full-length, two-way YKK zippers, protected by material flaps, enabling fast donning, ventilation control, and emergency access. A high stand collar shields the neck and can be folded down when needed. The three-way adjustable hood stows away into a zippered pocket at the nape, staying out of the way until the weather turns.

For crews, safety is not just protection — it’s extraction. The upper body down to the knee line is reinforced by an internal vertical support strap system that allows a soldier to be lifted and carried using external shoulder rescue straps. Additional webbing evacuation loops on both hips provide secondary grab points for pulling a casualty out of a vehicle under stress.

Thermal stress and sweat buildup are managed through zip-open ventilation ports under the arms and long dual-slider vent zippers on the lower legs. Both vent systems are mesh-backed to keep debris out while maintaining airflow — critical during high-tempo vehicle operations or on foot in warmer climates.

Storage is designed for functional access. The LEWIS-2 includes multiple zippered pockets for EDC, tools, and mission essentials: vertical chest pockets with mesh liners, large arm pockets with front-entry zippers, and oversized thigh and calf pockets with internal elastic organizers. Dedicated side access openings let you reach uniform pockets worn underneath without removing the coverall.
